Heading Home for the Summer, RedHawks? Don't Forget This One Step!

 

Class is wrapped, bags are packed, and summer break is officially here! 

Before you head out of Oxford for the season, make sure you take care of your final move-out checklist—including your utilities. If you are renting off-campus and leaving your apartment or house for the summer, remember to schedule a disconnection for your natural gas service.

Leaving your service active means you'll continue to be billed for monthly customer charges, even if your usage is at zero.

 What you need to do:

• Contact us ahead of time: Let us know your official move-out date so we can schedule the shut-off.

​

• Provide a forwarding address: This ensures your final bill gets to the right place and any applicable deposit refunds find their way to you.

​

• Coordinate with roommates: Make sure everyone is on the same page so service isn't cut off early while someone is still finishing up finals!

​
